It has been a long season, but I think the top 6 really were great performers. No matter what happens tonight I predict the top album sellers from this year will be Kris and Allison. So who will we see tonight? What sad singer will they bring back to make a fool of again. Let’s get on with the show..

We start with the top 13 Idols performing! They’re singing “So What?”, and yes we have Scott MacIntyre dancing! They sounded really good. I think this is one group I could actually see on their American Idol tour.

Next we have David Cook performing his new single, “Permanent”. He sounds good. David recently lost his brother to cancer, and all proceeds from his song are going to go towards the ABC Foundation, an organization researching a cure for cancer. I wish you and all family members well David.

Here we go just as I thought time to hand out the best of the worst! Winner for the guys: NORMUND! Still doing his performances. He performs again (Jebbica has hearts for eyes).

Next we have a duet with Lil Rounds and Queen Latifah, and Lil sounds great! If she sounded that good during the season she would of been top 4! The Queen Latifah is fabulous, of course.

Next we have Anoop! Also Alexis…and Jason Mraz. They do “I’m Yours”, They owned this song. I would buy that single anyday.

Next we get Kris Allen performing with Keith Urban…some great duets tonight! All the performances so far have been kick butt.

All the Idol girls are back, doing “Glamorous”. Megan looks cute, but it ain’t the right song, dawg. Fergie comes out, and they do “Big Girls Don’t Cry”. Then the Black Eyed Peas come out and perform “Boom Boom Pow”.

Time for more Idol wantabe abuse… people who can’t take no for an answer edition. And the winner is…Bikini Girl! In full costume, of course. She ahhh welll how do I say this…Had her lungs enhanced since last seen! She “sings”, and it’s horrible! Then Kara emerges to sing alongside…then promptly rips her clothes off! To expose her bikini. I guess she was told they would donate to her charity if she did it.

Allison is paired with Cyndi Lauper, and the show got even better. This has been the best American Idol finale ever!!

Gokey is singing “Hello”, along with his duet partner Lionel Richie and this might be the best I’ve ever heard Danny sing! It must be since the stress is off.

Time for a Adam Lambert performance. Nice look Adam! He is singing with KISS! They had to find someone who wore more makeup than Adam.

Getting close to results but first Carlos Santana and Matt sing “Black Magic Woman” .

Steve Martin! What is he doing here? Michael and Megan who get the honors this time. Sadly, they sound kind of horrible. But it was a weird song written by Steve Martin.

Results time.. After a duet by Adam and Kris singing we are the champions, which sounded great. Drum roll…….

The winner of American Idol Season 8 is Kris Allen!!!

Down to the last two guys Adam and Kris. Will they both bring it tonight or will one of them walk away with it. All the judges have dressed up for the night. What dumb things will come out of Paula’s mouth tonight? I think she sits at home the night before thinking of wacky phrases to say.

A coin toss puts Adam in the starting spot. He’s singing “Mad World”. Randy gave him an A+. Kara said she was happy he repeated himself. Paula said she was proud of him. Simon thought it was over theatrical, a little Phantom of the Opera. I agree Adam would be good for a broadway show.

Kris Allen is singing “Ain’t No Sunshine”. Randy thought it was one of his best performances. Kara likes the way he connects with the audience. Simon was unsure about Kris making it to finals, but he says he takes it back after that performance. And I really don’t know what Paula said, it sounded like blah, blah, blah.

Simon said round one winner: Kris!

Round two the producer’s picked the songs. Adam is singing “Change is Gonna Come”. Sounds good if you like that stuff, screeching. Randy: “You can sing your face off.” Kara: “That may have been your best performance and interpretation of a song since the beginning.” Paula: “That was the best I’ve heard you sing ever!” She has said that at least 5 times for Adam now. Simon: “You are 100% back in the game, congratulations.”

Kris is singing “What’s Goin’ On?”. It was just ok, he dind’t own it. Randy said it was a “little light” for him. Paula: I know what’s goin’ on, you tore that song up and made Marvin Gaye proud. Simon: “It was too laid back for a night like this”. I agree with Simon!!

Round 2 winner: Adam (my pick)

Round three the guys are singing their possible acceptance songs written by Kara. Not to hip with the song hopefully next year they get a different writer. Randy: “not one of my favorite performances, a little pitchy.” Kara: I’m so honored you sang my song. (well duh they both have to sing your song) Simon:Once again praises him. Paula got my mute button again.

Kris is singing the same song “No Boundaries”, I still think the song stinks so blame Kara. I think Kris sounded better than Adam. Randy agrees with me. Paula says he deserve to be in the spotlight. Simon: “you thoroughly deserve to be here tonight.”

Round 3 winner: Kris

Tonight we finally will be down to the final two. We will also have some great performances tonight from Katy Perry and Jordin Sparks.

The show starts with a movie endorsement! Ben Stiller, Bill Hader, Hank Azaria, and Jonah Hill introduce the show, which just happen to have a movie coming out. The Ford commercial tonight is pretty cool with the special effects.

Following the Ford commercial Alisha Keys comes out to talk about Africa. She introduces a Rowanda kid named Noah to come out and sing. This kid was really good for just learning the song in english in one week. To donate $5 to “Keep a child Alive” txt ALIVE to 90999 .

After the break, Ryan calls Danny Gokey out to showcase his hometown experience. He is greeted by many the screaming girl in Milwaukee even one chasing his limo! She couldn’t catch it. I wish the driver would of done the old trick of slowing down and speeding up. hehe Danny is told to go have a seat and wait.

Ryan brings Kris out next, whose hometown is Conway, Arkansas. He’s greeted by a lot of fans, and he has a heartfelt reunion with his dad. I would ball my eyes out. Ryan tells him to go have a seat with Danny.

We now get to hear from Jordan Sparks is singing. Wow did she get hotter! She also sounds great.

Ryan calls Adam Lambert to center stage and we see his visit home. He went back to San Diego, a moderately larger city than Conway!

Time for the decision. Ryan calls all three to center stage. The first person moving to the finally is Kris! Yea I got one right. Now its between Adam and Danny. And the next one in the finals is Adam! Danny Gokey is heading home and we will see Adam and Kris battle next week for the title.

Tonight the final three Idols are going back to their hometowns. They also will be doing two performances tonight. One song picked by the judges, and another picked by the contestants.

We start with the judges picks.

Danny is first and is singing “Dance Little Sister” by Terrance Trent D’Arby. It sounds very good and a great start. Randy: “Let the games begin!” Kara: “The dancing was a little too gyrating for me.” Paula: “I thought you did a fantastic job.” Simon: “The dancing was a bit desperate; vocally, very very good.”

Kris Allen is second and is singing “Apologize” by One Republic. Kris is at the piano it sounded great but he didn’t make it his own. Randy: “This song shows us who you could be in the future; very nice.” Kara: “I wish you had made it more your own.” Paula: “There was a bum note, but you are worthy of being in the top two.” Simon: “It was a competent version of the original, but not quite as good.”

Adam is singing “One” by U2. Good song choice by Simon! He also sounded great and is the one to beat so far. Randy: “You’re in the zone, the vocals were a little off-key, but really really good.” Kara: “Un-believable.” Paula: “It was one brilliant song, one brilliant perforamance, and one American Idol.” Simon: “brilliant song choice, brilliant performance. If you’re not in the finals next week, it will be the biggest upset in this competition.”

Next are the contestants’ picks.

Danny is singing “You Are So Beautiful” by Joe Cocker. Danny is really here to win it finally! This is gonna be a tough vote tonight. Randy: “You can really, really, REALLY sing!” Kara: “That was stunning!” Paula: “You nailed it!” Simon: “I would call that a vocal master class.”

Kris is singing “Heartless” by Kanye West. Oh my goodness I loved it he owned this song. Randy: “I liked that better than The Fray’s version, better than Kanye’s version!” Kara: “Perfect!” Paula: “Bravo” Simon: “I had written you out of this competition, but that has all changed after this performance.”

Adam is singing “Cryin” by Aerosmith. Adam is a great performer but I think this one brought him back to even ground with Kris tonight. Randy: “this is a good choice because you’re a rock star” Kara: “See ya at the finals”. Paula: “You’ve set the bar so high, I hope you’re collecting frequent flyer miles”. Simon: “You deserve to be in the finals based on talent.”

Ok i’m going to say Adam and Kris in the finals. But all of them will have record deals really soon.

Tonight we will be down to three. The word around the grapevine is that Danny will be going home. But I still stick with my pick of Kris going home this week.

Tonight we get performances by Chris Daughtry and Paula Abdul. After a Ford promo and the opening song by the idols Paula is up next to perform for us. Can you say Lip sync. The performance was ok for an 80’s chic.

Back from commercial we get a performance by No Doubt. They have no new album to promote but are going on tour to get inspiration to put out the new album.

Paula is back in the judges seat now. We go and do a hometown hero review of the past contestants. Ryan lets us know the seats to his left are for the top three, so the idols will want to be told to take a seat. Ryan is giving us a break down on all their performances as they wait at center stage.

Time to send one to safety and the first person in the top three is Kris! Guess I was wrong.. Oh well not the first time.

No up is the performance from Chris Daughtry. Singing their new single for the first time “No surprise”. A performer that doesn’t lip sync. I liked the song and the performance. Good job Chris.

After the break we find out who is not in the top three.

Next person safe is Adam, so now we have Adam and Kris in the top Three. Who will be safe between Allison and Danny? Danny is safe! Nooooooo!! After a review of Allison’s trip on the idol she performs one last time.

There you have it your final three Adam, Danny, and Kris. The show will miss Allison.

Tonight is rock and roll night with Slash as the mentor.

Adam is first, singing “A Whole Lotta Love” by Led Zepplin. I really liked it. Randy said it was hot. Kara called him a rock God. Paula said he was a ‘whole lotta perfect.’ Simon said it was one of his favorite performances and no one will be able to top it.

Allison is singing “Crybaby” by Janis Joplin. Sounded good to me, I will buy her album. Randy: “You can sing your face off, but I’m not loving the song choice.” Kara disagreed, saying Janis is the right choice for her, but she should have sang “Piece of My Heart”. Simon said he thought it was great, but it could have been a little more original.

The Idols are doing a duet this season and we start with Danny and Kris. They’re singing “Renegade” by Styx. It was just ok, they sounded a bit off but will make a good duet on the tour with more practice. Randy thought they complimented each other greatly when they sang harmoniously. Paula said it was powerful and compelling. Simon said Danny was better than Kris.

Kris is singing “Come Together”, and the cool part he gets to use Slash’s guitar! I think he did ok, not goose bumps but good. Randy said he liked the guitar work and thought it was pretty good considering he’s not really a hard rocker. Kara said it wasn’t his best performance; Paula said he was an artist. Simon said he didn’t like it that much, that it was like was like eating ice for lunch.

Danny is next and is singing “Dream On” by Aerosmith, He has different glasses again tonight. I really didn’t like this it was boring, he didn’t play to the crowd at all. Randy said it was all right for him, but he gets an A+ for a valiant effort. Kara said he took their advice a little too seriously. Simon said the last note was like watching a horror movie.

Now the Adam and Allison duet and they sang “Slow Ride” and the judges loved it. I really think they will keep them together for the tour, the combo rocked. Simon said thanks to Adam, Allison will probably get to stay in the competition another week.

Another American Idol will be going home tonight. I will once again say I think this is the best top five I have seen out of all the seasons.

The Idols and the Ford commercial is next, they’re singing “Energy” by Athens GA band Apples in Stereo for their promo.

Next up is their Rat Pack group medley. It doesn’t look like they are lip-syncing this time and they sound good.

Time for the results, and Matt’s up first. He’s asked to stand to the right of the stage. Danny is next and he’s asked to stand to the left of the stage. Allison joins Danny on the left. Kris joins Matt. Ryan ask Adam to pick a group he thinks he should be with. Adam picks Danny and Allison, but Ryan says, no, join Matt and Kris, and they will make up the bottom three! Wow what a shocker Adam in the bottom three.

We get some entertainment from Natalie King Cole, Taylor Hicks, and Jamie Foxx. Natalie has the Nat look and sounds good. Taylor Hicks performed his new single and he sounded great.

Ryan calls Matt, Kris, and Adam back to center stage and sends one back to safety. Who will it be? Kris is safe!! What Adam is in the bottom two..

Back to the show and a performance from Jamie Foxx. After watching him on a talk show I will just say no comment on his performance.

Ryan calls the bottom two out and we finally get to the results. Why can’t these only be 1/2 hr shows for the results show? Come on American Idol change this up next year or get some really kick butte entertainment. Ok the guy going home tonight is Matt.

Wow tune in next week to see who hits the bottom. It is getting tough!

Tonight the Idols sing music from the great Rat Pack. jamie Foxx is there mentor. I believe they picked him since he did the Ray Charles movie. How will they fill up an hour with just 5 contestants? Maybe they will let Paula talk a little longer. Noooo!! I think Kris and Danny will do really well tonight. Let us get to the show.

First up tonight is Kris Allen. He has pleasantly surprised me for the past few weeks. Kris sang “Just the Way You Look Tonight”. Jamie really liked his song choice and thinks he will be #1. Randy: “your best performance to date!” Kara: “You have set the technical standard so incredibly high for this evening; you are the dark horse in the competition.” Paula: “Your quiet confidence makes you an impeccable performance.” Simon: “I thought it was all a little bit wet”. I really like Kris more and more each week.

Side Note: If you download one of the Idols’ performances tonight, you’ll get an autographed picture. Pretty cool!

Allison looks good tonight and is singing “Someone to Watch Over Me” . She sounds great as always. Randy: “You look like Brittany Murphy, you sing like Pink, but you did your own thing and I loved it.” Kara: “I ain’t nervous you’ll be in the bottom three this week!” Paula: “You have an innocent sensibility that’s both alluring and tender.” Simon: “I have a horrible feeling you could be in trouble tonight”. What is up with Simon tonight? Did he borrow Paula’s medicine!

Matt sang “My Funny Valentine”. It was just an okay performance to me. Randy: “It was a little bit pitchy; I give it a six outta ten.” Kara: “You weren’t emotionally connected.” Paula: “You did an excellent job”. Simon: “It was the only believable and authentic performance tonight. Absolutely brilliant.” Wow again Simon is way off from what I hear.

Danny is singing “Come Rain or Come Shine”. I think this is the music that makes Danny so good. He would make a good Rat for the Pack. Randy: “You are the only one I’ve heard so far tonight that could have an album of these kind of songs and win!” Kara: “You had Rat Pack swagger tonight!” Paula: “Stellar performance.” Simon: “The best I’ve heard from you in weeks. That was outstanding.”

Adam sang “Feeling Good”. Adam sort of grown on me over the weeks. I don’t know if I would buy his CD but he does sound good. Randy: “A little too Broadway for me, but you are in the zone.” Kara: “You’re shocking and sleazy in a good way!” Paula: “You make me feel better than good. Watching you perform is like watching the Olympics, and you are Michael Phelps.” Simon: “Best entrance we’ve had all year. You show you really want this, and you’re an entertainer.”

I can’t say who is gonna be in the bottom. They all deserve to be in the top 5. I think this is the best top 5 American Idol ever.

Two idols will go home tonight. Who will it be? I predict Lil’ and Anoop will be going home.

The idols get to do a dance routine this week choreographed by Paula Abdul. Obviously a lip sync performance by the crowd. I guess they cant sing and dance. hehe Off to a commercial break.

Back from the commercial and we go into the idols Ford commercial.

On to the results, Ryan ask Lil to stand up first. Lil is asked to go to the other side of the stage. Than Ryan follows her and lets her know the road ends tonight for her. Lil Rounds sings “Every Woman” The judges let her know she is a great artist and will still make it in the business.

We go into a disco medley, I didn’t catch the name of the first two performers obviously they are from the disco days. The third melody singer was KC without the sunshine band. I’m not sure how well he did I was busy watching to see if one of his dancers was going to make it through the performance without falling out of her top. My husband was enjoying that.

After a commercial break Ryan ask Kris to stand up, Kris is safe. Adam Lambert is next to stand up. Ryan tells Adam he is safe. Next is Danny Gokey and the results are……..Danny is safe. Anoop is asked to stand up and than asked to go to the bottom 2. Allison and Matt are asked to stand up together. Matt is safe and Allison is asked to join Anoop. What the HELL!!! I’m sorry but no way should Allison be in the bottom three!! Off to a commercial.

Back from break we get to hear David Archuleta perform his new single, “Touch My Hand”. Someone let me know how he did I changed the channel because he bored me.

Back from another commercial break and the final results. Who will it be Anoop or Allison? Anoop is going home. Please people call in and vote for Allison next week.

Well Anoop was one I wanted to make it to the end and I think he will make it somewhere. But the last few weeks I have decided it will come down to Kris, Adam and Allison.

Well with Matt being saved last week tomorrow two idols will be going home. It might not be a good thing with it being Disco night. I figure a few of them will struggle tonight. So let me get my husband to put on his leisure suit and lets get onto the show.

We start the night with Lil Rounds and she is singing “I’m Every Woman” by Chaka Khan. I’m tired of her just coming out doing karaoke. Randy: “You got the party started, but it sounded so wild to me.” Kara: “You’ve been every woman, other than yourself”. Paula: “You were hot tonight, but you didn’t hit the boiling point.” Simon: “This is the last week we’re ever gonna see you.”

Kris Allen is singing “She Works Hard for the Money” by Donna Summer. I like how he always makes a song his own. Which all the idols should do. Kara: “You took a real risk with that arrangement, and it paid off BIG time.” Simon: “that was the polar opposite to (Lil’s) song, it wasn’t karaoke, it was a fantastic performance.” Randy: “You know who you are, you’re ready for the big time.”

Danny Gokey sang “September” by Earth, Wind and Fire. I think it was a good song choice for Danny. Randy: “I was worried, but you turned this into something that really worked for you.” Kara: “you’re pitch is always so right-on.” Simon: “there was no star power from you, it was a bit clumsy.”

Allison Iraheta sang “Hot Stuff” by Donna Summer I think. She is in my top 3 and my pick to win this year. Randy: “I didn’t love the arrangement, but you’re one of the best singers in this competition.” Kara agrees. Paula: “it was edgy and authentic.” Simon: “you are the underdog this week, but that was a brilliant performance.”

Adam Lambert sang “If I Can’t Have You”, Adam made the song his, I think he should of came out with a more upbeat song. Randy: “you are ready right now dude!” Kara: (stealing Simon’s line) “You’re brilliant.” Paula: “It’s as if you tore your heart out and put it onstage.” Simon: “It was original, people will remember it, and the vocals were immaculate.”

Matt Giraud sang “Staying Alive”. Not a bad job but I think he should of came out with everything he has. I mean he almost went home last week! Randy: “didn’t love the song choice or the arrangement, but you can really sing.” Kara: “You brought disco back.” Paula: “We saved your life last week, but you saved your life this week.” Simon: “I’m not such a huge fan of that performance.”

Last tonight is Anoop and He’s singing “Dim All the Lights”, it was to slow and boring to me. He was bringing up the end of the night he should of sang something so people would of got up and danced. Randy: “Rough last note, but nice!” Paula: “You look great, love the pink!” Simon: “That was mediocre at best…it was your worst performance by a mile.”

Well I think Lil and Anoop will be the ones heading home. If the votes save Lil again it will be Matt. Who do you think will be going home?
