Here we are in Hollywood, no more 300lb pink rabits, no more wanabe singers, just a bunch of classy top notch singers. Oh wait this is American Idol and only day 1 in Hollywood. Things will go bad for some. So who made it and who blew it!
This year they started the Hollywood week by spoiling the contestants and actually giving them a chance to really be prepared for their next time on stage. They gave all contestants a beauty makeover. Than they also had them work with some singing coaches and Barrry Manilow was there to lend some tips. I guess they figured this boot camp would help calm nerves.
Now for a little on the people from day 1 who made it through. Lil Round received a standing ovation from Paula and Kara. We really didn’t hear the same thing they did. But that is why we are sitting on the couch watching and not on stage singing. Dennis was our first drama of Hollywood week. He obviously didn’t learn anything from the coaches. After his group was sent home everyone left the stage but Dennis. Dennis came back and argued that they were the worst judges in the world. Simon just thanked him for making their decision a good one on sending him home.
All together 104 contestants made it through. Now tomorrow we will see the group challenge and get the popcorn ready. Group day always brings out all the drama. Every year the same thing happens, people party all night and don’t do any practicing and than they wonder why they get sent home. Place your bets now, who will it be? Who will come through and really rock Hollywood in group day? Tune in tomorrow as we are going to post a spoiler on who we have heard will be in the final 36.
